Zidell Waterfront Cleanup project honored with 2014 COPRI Project Excellence Award

We’re excited to announce that the Zidell Waterfront Cleanup has won the 2014 Coasts, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute (COPRI) Project Excellence Award in the large project category!

This multi-year project involved remediating upland, bank, and sediment contamination at a former ship-breaking and salvage facility on the lower Willamette River. GeoDesign provided geotechnical and a portion of the environmental services as part of a project team that developed and implemented the remediation plan. Future development plans include education and medical buildings, high-rise housing, and commercial buildings.
