GeoDesign’s Wilsonville office is seeking a Pavement Engineer for projects in the Portland metro area markets.

Our firm is an NV5 company and provides a full range of geotechnical engineering, environmental, geological, pavement, and mining consulting services. Companywide, GeoDesign’s team includes more than 65 dedicated engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, technical staff, and support personnel but we are part of a more than 4,000-person firm offering vast opportunities nationwide.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a pavement engineer, you’ll be working alongside our senior associate pavement engineer and supporting small to large complex projects from start to completion. This will include assisting with proposals, developing project budgets, performing pavement engineering analysis, design, studies, and calculations; and preparing pavement design reports for our clients. In addition, you will be responsible for completing pavement management field surveys, analyzing pavement management data, interpreting pavement materials quality, and processing control data.

GeoDesign, an NV5 Company, invests in the latest technology for our pavement services, such as our Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). You will be responsible for overseeing this equipment, including performing visual pavement assessments and pavement condition index surveys.

GeoDesign is looking for an exceptional individual with the ability to support our efforts in the Pacific Northwest, develop and maintain local client relationships, and provide an exceptional level of customized pavement engineering design consultation.

Requirements

  • Exceptional technical capabilities (must be demonstrated), combined with a passion for business development
  • Minimum four years pavement design and analysis project-level experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, required
  • Master’s Degree in Pavement Engineering, preferred
  • PE required
  • Experience with StreetSaver and PAVER preferred, including the demonstrated ability to train other staff, install, implement, and maintain programs
